Red Cross Partners with OADN to Help Build Resilient U.S. Communities

The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) and the American Red Cross have established a partnership to provide opportunities for OADN nurses to contribute to Red Cross programs across the country. The agreement paves the way for OADN to help support Red Cross chapters in helping people across the country.

OADN members will be encouraged to become Red Cross Disaster Health Services volunteers and respond to disasters in their communities as well as large national disasters. They will also be able to help their communities be prepared for emergencies through Red Cross programs like the Home Fire Campaign and The Pillowcase Project. OADN will also work with the Red Cross to host blood drives and educate the public about the need for blood donations.

PENSACOLA, FL. – February 13, 2017

The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the American Red Cross. This is an important initiative to provide opportunities for OADN members to contribute to the American Red Cross programs across the country!

We are excited to announce the extension of this collaboration that will provide a venue for our agency member schools to partner at the local level to provide clinical experiences and academic service learning (ASL) experience opportunities. The American Red Cross has provided a template that OADN member schools and the local American Red Cross chapter can use to establish clinical agreements at the local level that will provide practical learning opportunities and/or clinical experiences.
