The National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing has joined the Champion Nursing Council. In the invitation to N-OADN, the following was stated, “We are confident that N-OADN will add a valuable voice to the discussion as we work to transform health care through nursing.”
N-OADN will have representation at the meeting convened by the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), and AARP on Monday, July 8, 2013. The meeting will be an in-depth discussion on issues critical to the future of health care in America. This important and timely dialogue will address progress from the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action and other national organizations that are working to implement the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing report recommendations. This critical period of healthcare transformation presents a significant opportunity for nursing leaders to harness our activities to collectively improve health care for consumers.
