OADN Signs On to Letter Sent to Transition Team

OADN has signed on to a letter to the Honorable Mike Pence, Vice President-elect and Chair of the Presidential transition team with 60 other nursing organizations belonging to the Nursing Community Coalition.  OADN has been a member of the Nursing Community for 5 years which is a coalition of national professional nursing associations dedicated to building consensus and advocating on a wide spectrum of healthcare and nursing issues, including practice, education, and research. The Nursing Community is committed to improving the health and health care of our nation by collaborating to support the education and practice of registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs).

Collectively, the Nursing Community is comprised of 64 national nursing organizations that represent nearly one million practicing nurses, nursing students, and nursing faculty.

Please see the letter signed by 60 national nursing organizations that outlines the coalition’s core principles, advocacy initiatives, and priorities for a reformed system.
