The OADN Nominating Committee announces the opening of the Call for Nominations for candidates for the 2019 elections. This is an exciting time to consider the opportunity to serve in a position of leadership at the national level. OADN is the only national nursing organization that advocates exclusively for associate degree nursing, and member involvement across the country is essential. This could be your opportunity to become an active participant of the OADN Board of Directors and join the work as OADN provides visionary leadership in nursing education to improve the health and well-being of our communities.
OADN is seeking candidates for:
- Midwest Regional Director
- Southeast Regional Director
- Nominating Committee - 3 Positions
Board Directors, including all officers, regional directors, public directors and the at-large director, shall participate in the development and implementation of the strategic plan, serve as Board Liaisons to committees and workgroups, and shall carry out other responsibilities as delegated by the Board of Directors. Regional Directors shall be residents of the designated regions, respectively. Voting is not restricted by region; all OADN members with vote may vote in each regional election. All regional directors, public directors and the at-large director serve a two-year term. Commitment includes attendance on monthly conference calls and 3 face-to-face meeting per year.*
Nominating Committee members review and recommend candidates for offices to the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee meets via conference calls and at the OADN Annual Convention. (2-year term)
This is an excellent opportunity to represent your associate degree nursing colleagues and support OADN’s vision as the leader in dynamic and collaborative nursing education.
The submission deadline is June 15, 2019.
