Candidate for Southeast Region Representative
I am honored to seek nomination for the position of Southeast Director with OADN. My journey in associate degree nursing education spans over 18 years, rooted in a deep commitment to student success, faculty development, and academic excellence. Currently serving as Dean at Galen College of Nursing Orlando campus, and formerly as Interim Dean at Valencia College, I have led diverse teams, secured over $2 million in grant funding, and championed innovative strategies to improve student outcomes and program quality.
My leadership extends beyond the classroom and campus. I served as President of the Florida Organization of Associate Degree Nursing and the Florida Council of Nurse Educators, and I am an ACEN Peer Evaluator. I’ve also contributed nationally through the OADN Nominating Committee and as a reviewer for NLN scholarships and presentations.
What sets me apart is my passion for mentorship and community engagement. From guiding high school students through Take Stock in Children to leading health initiatives at my church, I believe in lifting others as I climb. My personal goal is to foster inclusive, forward-thinking environments where faculty and students thrive.
As Southeast Director, I will bring strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and a heart for service to OADN. I am committed to advancing our mission and amplifying the voices of associate degree nursing educators across our region.
