Candidate Statement
Professional Journey
Seven years ago, I chose to transition from graduate work at a private institution to undergraduate work at a community college. As an Associate Degree Nursing graduate, that decision reflected both my professional values and my commitment to the communities that shaped me.
Since 2018, serving in Director and Dean roles at the community college level has been a transformative chapter in my career. My path has taken me from the University of San Francisco to San Mateo Community College, and most recently to Gavilan College, where I served as full-time Program Director and Dean.
Leadership and Service
Through the California Organization of Associate Degree Nursing, I have served as Vice President, President, and Past President over the past five years. I have also served as Western Region Director for the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing for the past three years, including one year as a nominated officer.
I am seeking reelection as Western Region Director. In this role, I have supported the ADN community through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, including helping organize annual conferences, advocating at the state and national levels, and strengthening engagement across the profession.
Commitment to Continued Service
I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me. OADN represents collaboration, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to the ADN community.
I would be honored to continue this important work as an elected OADN officer, and I look forward to the opportunity to keep serving the ADN community with dedication and purpose.
