Enna E. Trevathan

Dr. Trevathan served as the Dean of Allied Health, Nursing, Athletics, and Kinesiology at Gavilan College. Prior to this role, she held positions as Director of Nursing at San Mateo Community College and Associate Dean for Educational Outreach at the University of San Francisco. She has over 30 years of leadership experience in the healthcare arena.

Her professional experiences are diverse, ranging from medical insurance underwriting to the full spectrum of professional nursing services. Her background includes administrative services, evaluation of nursing care, program implementation, personnel management, professional development, and nursing education.

Dr. Trevathan is a Fellow of the Academy of Associate Degree Nursing (FAADN); a Virginia Anderson and Sigma Theta Tau Fellow. Through her philanthropy, she is committed to being a national and international voice for leadership development in nursing. Her dedication to the profession focuses on meeting future healthcare needs by fostering innovative and interdisciplinary research.

Dr. Trevathan is Past-President of COADN North, an active participant in the OADN Member Advocacy and Outreach Task Force, and a recently appointed member of the OADN Board of Directors as Western Region Director. She is proud to be part of the national voice for community college nursing education and the associate degree pathway.
