Dr. Hristova is an established nursing leader who promotes the development of a competent nursing workforce. She has over 20 years of nursing experience serving in clinical, academic and leadership roles. Dr. Hristova’s clinical background is in oncology nursing. She also holds an advanced practice licensure as an Adult Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Hristova has an impeccable academic profile demonstrating dedication to community colleges nursing programs. She brings her unique perspective and lived- experiences advocating open access, holistic admissions, and support services for students.

Currently, Dr. Hristova holds the rank of a tenured nursing faculty and serves as the Faculty Program Coordinator for the Seattle Colleges District Nursing. Previously, she served as an Associate Dean of Nursing at North Seattle College and Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at Seattle Pacific University. In these leaderships roles she contributed to the development of programs and services that supported retention and student success.
