Sami Rahman

Sami Rahman is the Director of Simulation and Clinical Labs at Blinn College Health Science Center in Bryan, Texas. A Registered Nurse for over 40 years, she brings extensive experience in pediatric oncology, intensive care, and nursing education. Since 2006, Sami has led the integration of simulation into Blinn’s health science programs, earning recognition from NISOD and Blinn College for her contributions. In 2011, she established Blinn’s first Simulation Center and has since expanded the program to serve most health science disciplines, incorporating innovative simulation strategies and a robust Simulated Patient Program. An active member of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN), Sami contributes to national initiatives through presentations and committee service. Most recently, she was inducted into the OADN Class of Fellows (2025) in recognition of her leadership and impact on nursing education. Her current endeavors include collaborative research and development with colleagues nationwide to explore effective ways to integrate artificial intelligence into nursing curricula, advancing the future
