Submit an abstract for the OADN Convention in San Antonio
The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing invites abstract submissions for the 2026 OADN Convention, taking place November 12 to 14, 2026, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the historic River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. This national conference convenes nursing educators, administrators, and industry professionals to examine innovative strategies and emerging issues shaping the future of Associate Degree Nursing education.
The 2026 theme, Empowering the ADN Educator: Flourishing with Strength and Sustainability, underscores the critical role of faculty leadership, resilience, innovation, and long-term sustainability in advancing Associate Degree Nursing education and strengthening the nursing workforce.
We welcome abstracts that highlight innovative teaching strategies, research, evidence-based practices, and forward-thinking solutions that advance Associate Degree Nursing education, faculty development, student success, workforce readiness, and leadership growth.

Presentation Format
OADN seeks abstracts for 50-minute podium presentations supported by PowerPoint. Presenters should reserve time within the session for audience questions or interactive engagement.
The separate call for faculty and student poster abstracts will be announced in May 2026.

Submission Guidance
Abstracts that present well-designed demonstrations or evidence-based pilot projects with supporting data are strongly encouraged.
- Maximum of four presenters per submission
- Identification of any conflicts of interest, including commercial affiliations or royalties
- Affirmation that presentations will not promote or sell products or services
- All presenters must register and pay for the convention and are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses
Required Abstract Components
- Session Title
- Brief Description, maximum 100 words
- Background or Introduction, maximum 150 words
- Intervention and or Research Methods, maximum 200 words
- Findings or Results, maximum 200 words
- Conclusions, maximum 200 words
- Three to five Learning Objectives
Review Process
Each abstract is reviewed by at least two members of the OADN Abstract Review Committee. Reviews are conducted blind; reviewers do not have access to author names or institutional affiliations.

Abstracts must be submitted by May 8, 2026.
