Candidate for President-elect

For many, associate degree nursing is more than a career pathway, it’s a lifeline. It was for my beloved late mother, who immigrated from Haiti, learned English, and earned her associate degree in nursing from the City Colleges of Chicago, where I now have the honor of serving as Associate Dean of Nursing at Malcolm X College. I carry her legacy with me and remain deeply committed to advancing access to nursing through the associate degree pathway.
I am honored to seek the office of President of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). With over a decade of experience in nursing education, leadership, and program development, I’ve worked to strengthen the ADN mission through curriculum innovation, accreditation success, and faculty development initiatives centered on equity and student achievement.
I have proudly served as OADN’s Midwest Regional Director for the past two terms, working to uplift the voices of nursing educators across our region and strengthen our collective impact. In this role, I’ve championed inclusion, elevated diverse pathways into nursing, and supported professional development opportunities that reflect the needs of our dynamic field.
My priorities include expanding leadership opportunities for nurse educators and ensuring that ADN programs remain accessible and responsive to the needs of our communities. I am passionate about supporting faculty, empowering students, and honoring the mission that binds us all.
It is from this place of purpose and lived experience that I offer my leadership, grounded in service, vision, and a deep belief in the power of associate degree nursing to transform lives and communities.
