OADN Research Support for Members
OADN Members: Publicize Your Research Survey
Our unique member benefit allows any OADN member to submit requests for survey promotion via OADN’s network. You can distribute your survey as well as participate in your fellow nurse educators’ surveys and original research distributed through OADN. Your participation in these IRB-approved studies helps drive evidence-based solutions, professional growth, and continued recognition of the critical role of ADN programs.
Research and survey requests from students must be approved by the student’s nursing program dean, director, or faculty advisor. Completed applications with requests to survey OADN members will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Approval of research proposals depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, the purpose of the research and feasibility of the research plan.
Criteria & Important Information for Applicants
- Applicants must be active members of OADN.
- The subject of the research proposal must be related to associate degree nursing education and/or nursing practice.
- The subject of the research proposal should align with the mission, vision and strategic priorities of OADN.
- OADN is not responsible for the management of an approved research study.
- OADN is not responsible for survey validity or survey response rate.
- OADN cannot endorse an individual research survey nor assist with the vetting process of survey participants.
- If an application for a research survey is approved, it will be shared on the OADN website, along with other active research initiatives for the duration of the survey.
- Approved, active surveys will also be promoted in OADN communications to encourage voluntary participation among OADN members (ADN faculty and ADN program leadership).
- Only approved surveys of ADN faculty or ADN program leadership will be shared (OADN does not share surveys with student members).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Active Member Surveys
ADN educators are invited to contribute to a national study examining psychological workload, workplace stressors, coping strategies, and the institutional support available to nurse educators. By participating, you lend your voice to a national effort to better understand the workload, stressors, coping strategies, and support needs of nurse educators. Your insights will generate essential data that not only validates the experiences of faculty but also informs research, guides institutional policy, and promotes healthier, more sustainable teaching environments for current and future nursing educators.
