Rebecca Love is a trailblazing nurse executive, entrepreneur, and global advocate for nursing innovation. A pioneer in the intersection of artificial intelligence and nursing, Rebecca is Chief Clinical Officer of Quadriva AI, a healthcare technology firm focused on integrating AI innovation with nursing expertise to enhance patient care and optimize healthcare delivery systems.
She also plays a pivotal role in shaping Florida State’s AI Strategy for Nursing, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that nurses are central to statewide efforts guiding the future of AI in healthcare. Her leadership in these emerging fields underscores her commitment to positioning nurses as essential voices in health technology innovation. Rebecca made history as the first nurse featured on TED.com and was a panelist at the inaugural nursing session at South by Southwest (SXSW) in 2018. She served as the inaugural Director of Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Northeastern University School of Nursing—the first role of its kind in the United States. There, she launched the Nurse Hackathon, a national movement that has catalyzed transformative change in the profession by empowering nurses as innovators and change agents. In 2019, Rebecca co-founded the Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs & Leaders (SONSIEL), a nonprofit dedicated to elevating nurses in healthcare innovation. Under her leadership, SONSIEL gained recognition as a United Nations Affiliate Member, cementing its global influence. In 2023, she co-founded the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement, an initiative aimed at reforming how nursing care is financially valued and compensated. The Commission seeks to address longstanding issues related to nurse staffing shortages and the under-recognition of nursing contributions within healthcare economics. Rebecca has also served on the nursing faculty at Villanova University and spent seven years as a Professor of Nursing at Bunker Hill Community College’s associate degree nursing program. Dr. Danielle K. McCamey is a distinguished nurse leader, educator, and advocate dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the nursing profession. With over two decades of nursing experience, including more than ten years as a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner, her clinical expertise spans perianesthesia, palliative, and critical care.
Currently, Dr. McCamey serves as the Assistant Dean for Strategic Partnerships and an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. In this role, she spearheads initiatives to establish and strengthen institutional collaborations that align with the school’s mission, enhancing student learning and engagement with health partners across the state. In 2018, recognizing the need for a supportive community for nurses of color pursuing doctoral degrees, Dr. McCamey founded DNPs of Color (DOC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As CEO and President, she leads DOC’s mission to increase diversity in doctoral studies, clinical practice, and leadership through networking, mentorship, and advocacy. Dr. McCamey’s commitment to mentorship and professional development is further exemplified by her co-creation and chairing of the Doctoral Nurses Collaborative, a group that unites DNP- and PhD-prepared nurses to promote mentorship, scholarship, and evidence-based practice. Her contributions to nursing have been recognized with numerous honors, including being named a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and receiving the 2024 AACN Pioneering Spirit Award for her work in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout nursing. |

Rear Admiral (Ret.) Aisha K. Brooks is a nationally recognized nurse leader, public health strategist, and advocate for health equity, with more than 30 years of service in nursing and public health.
She served as the 12th Chief Nurse Officer of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps from October 2019 to September 2023. In this role, she provided visionary leadership and expert policy guidance to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Surgeon General, representing over 4,000 nurse officers across the country. As Chief Nurse Officer, Dr. Brooks championed national efforts to advance nursing workforce development, improve access to care in underserved communities, and integrate public health nursing across key federal initiatives. Her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic helped shape the deployment and coordination of nursing resources in critical response operations. She also played a significant role in advancing health equity by promoting diversity in the nursing workforce and expanding the role of nurses in community-based care. In 2024, Dr. Brooks launched VitalVoice Nursing, LLC, a public health consultancy focused on leveraging nursing leadership to influence systems change and population health outcomes. Through this platform, she continues to partner with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and public agencies to amplify the voice of nursing in policy, innovation, and public health strategy. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) and a Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (FADLN). Her legacy reflects a deep commitment to service, justice, and the power of nursing leadership to drive meaningful change in health systems across the nation. |
Cherie Rebar PhD, MBA, RN, CNE, FAADN & Nicole Heimgartner DNP, RN, FAADNExperts in practice-readiness, and returning by popular demand, Drs. Rebar and Heimgartner will tackle the ever-widening gap between nursing education and practice-readiness. |
Dr. Cherie Rebar and Dr. Nicole Heimgartner have worked together as professional nurse educators since 2005. Representing decades of experience, they both actively teach full time, consult with nursing programs nationwide and in Canada, serve as subject matter experts, and author multiple nursing textbooks and associated resources.
They are regarded as experts in curriculum design, program accreditation, NGN, and clinical judgment. Their most prized publication is Medical-Surgical Nursing: Concepts for Clinical Judgment and Collaborative Care with Donna Ignatavicius, with whom they began collaborating in 2007. They are frequent podium presenters at numerous nationally recognized nursing and nursing education venues, and are both proud to be recognized as Fellows of the Academy of Associate Degree Nursing (FAADN). Drs. Rebar and Heimgartner are certified nurse educators, certified academic clinical educators, and certified online instructors. Their shared mission is to empower faculty, engage nursing students, and use best practice in academia to foster the nursing profession forward. |
Beth Toner, ADN, MSN, RN, MJ, MFADirector of Program Communication, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation ADN nurse herself, Beth will lead an expert panel on the importance of allyship in nursing and nursing education. |
Beth Toner is Director of Program Communications for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Beth has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and corporate communications. She is also a registered nurse with clinical experience in long-term care and community health settings.
In her current role, Beth leads a team of communications professionals who provide strategic communications support for RWJF programs, working together to advance health equity for all Americans. She finds her work at RWJF to be the perfect blend of her two passions: communications and healthcare. “I chose nursing as a second career because I care deeply about making a difference in the lives of people when they are at their most vulnerable,” she says. “This role allows me to do that in a systemic way.” Beth earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Delaware County Community College, a bachelor of arts degree from Messiah College (University), and her MSN from Eastern Mennonite University. She also holds a master of journalism from Temple University and a master of fine arts degree from Dominican University of California. |

Dr. Tina Loarte-Rodriguez is a nationally respected nurse leader, patient safety advocate, and healthcare strategist with over 18 years of diverse clinical and administrative experience.
She currently serves as the Executive Director of The Connecticut Center for Nursing Workforce, Inc. (CCNW), where she leads statewide efforts to build and sustain a highly educated, culturally diverse, and responsive nursing workforce. Dr. Loarte-Rodriguez also brings deep expertise in academic medicine and healthcare quality through her work at Yale New Haven Health, where she has held leadership roles focused on patient safety, harm reduction, and care equity. Her work at Yale reflects her strong commitment to systems transformation and collaborative leadership within large, complex healthcare environments. A passionate advocate for equity, justice, and the advancement of historically underrepresented communities in healthcare, Dr. Loarte-Rodriguez is a thought leader who amplifies the voices of marginalized populations through her public speaking, mentoring, and writing. She is the visionary behind Latinas in Nursing, the first anthology to celebrate the professional journeys and personal resilience of fifteen Latina nurses from across the United States. The book has been widely recognized as a groundbreaking contribution to the literature of nursing, lifting up stories that have long gone untold and inspiring future generations of Latina nurses. Her leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including the 2021 Hartford Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award and the Connecticut Nurses Association Excellence in Team Award. Dr. Loarte-Rodriguez is an active and influential member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and DNPs of Color (DOCs), through which she works to promote inclusive leadership and innovation in nursing. In her current role, Dr. Williams oversees the development and implementation of the NCLEX examinations, ensuring they accurately assess the competencies required for safe and effective nursing practice. She has been instrumental in integrating clinical judgment into the NCLEX, reflecting the evolving complexities of healthcare and the critical thinking skills nurses must possess. Dr. Williams has presented her research and insights at various national conferences, including the 2024 NCSBN Scientific Symposium, where she co-presented on “The Importance of Entry-Level Nursing Clinical Judgment Through the Lens of Experienced Nurses.”Her work emphasizes the significance of clinical judgment in entry-level nursing and its impact on patient safety and care quality. Can I get a refund?
- Yes, refunds are available through October 1, but not after.
OADN follows the following Returned Payment & Cancellation Policy:
- Until October 1: Refund less a $100 processing fee (Students: less a $25 fee)
- After October 1: No refunds after this date
Registrations are fully transferable to a faculty colleague until November 11, 2025. There is no fee to transfer a registration to another faculty member at your institution.
Refund requests should be sent to oadn@oadn.org. Please reach out to OADN should an extenuating hardship impact your ability to attend the convention.

Pre-licensure RN students may register for Convention at a discounted rate of $175 for both members and non-members. Graduate students and RN-BSN students must register at the regular rates.
