Guidance / requirements about student data posted in the directory

• NOTE: Before we publish any name in the online directory, we will ask that you confirm that your scholars / inductees do not have FERPA blocks, and have opted-in to sharing their directory information. This information will be on record with your registrar’s office.
• The student information published in the directory is limited to: full name, year of induction, institution name, and institution state. The database will not collect nor publish any other student information.
• Students are not required to participate in the directory and may have their listing removed at any time by contacting oadn@oadn.org.
• Only Alpha Delta Nu faculty advisers or their designated staff are permitted to upload inductee information into the database. Do not share this page link or upload instructions with students or anyone outside of your department’s faculty or staff.
• Alpha Delta Nu inductees are not required to hold a personal or student membership in OADN in order to be included in the directory.
• Students who have purchased a membership with OADN are only included in the directory if they have been inducted into Alpha Delta Nu.
• Only honor society chapters that are in good standing with OADN may publish to the directory. Please refer to the honor society’s bylaws if you are unsure about your chapter’s standing, or contact Harriet.McClung@oadn.org.

Data: Requirements and Recommendations

• • You may upload historical inductee information going back to the inception of your chapter.
  • Please feel free to submit new cohorts more than once per year. For example, if you induct students twice per year or identify historical information that wasn’t included in your initial upload.
  • Once is enough for each student; i.e., if a student was admitted to your chapter in the Spring 2023 cohort, they do not need to be added again.

Steps to submit

Step 1: Please download this template (.csv format)

Step 2: Keep the top / header row but delete the example information on rows 2-5.

Step 3: Enter your inducted students information in each column (student name, chapter name, semester/term of induction, year of induction, college name, and state abbreviation). You *must* enter this information for each record. 

Step 4: Send the spreadsheet to Mike Madison at mike.madison@oadn.org. You can also send Mike any technical support questions as well. OADN staff will review the submitted information and send you additional guidance before it is published to the directory.
